Ride Smart ORV Alliance: YCS has partnered with a number of stakeolders to form the Ride Smart ORV Alliance (see the ORV Issues page for more information about this alliance). The ORV Alliance has created an "Off-Road Vehicles and the Environment" Learning Resource to educate students on environmentally responsible ORV (Off-Road Vehicle) use. This presentation is releveant to all students because ORV use is discussed as one of a number of human activities that can impact habitat and wildlife. The emphasis is that everyone can play a role in protecting the environment.

This learning resource encourages students to take action to reduce their own impacts on the Yukon environment by first having them consider the different sources of impacts on Yukon wildlife and habitat, including ORVs, and then understand how those impacts can be minimized. By the end, students are equipped with the knowledge to turn their environmental 'footprints' into 'handprints' for positive change.

Climate Change North: The Yukon Conservation Society (YCS) and its partners in NWT, Nunavut and the Yukon developed climatechangenorth.ca. This educational website was created for northerners by northerners, and is focused on understanding the effects of climate change, and what people can do about it. The site provides a multitude of resources for teachers, including background information, lesson plans, curriculum links, and resources. Materials cover all subject areas for K-12 students.
